Mark your calendar now for the 2^nd Annual Knights on the Run 5K Run and 1Mile Family Fun Run/Walk to be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009.  This year the newly organized PTA is excited to host the event.

Our 1^st Annual event was a great success with 171 registered for the 5K and 127 registered in the 1K.   This kind of participation for a first time event is outstanding and truly shows what a great school and community we have for our children.  Thank you to all of the participants and volunteers who have inspired us to make this an annual event!

We have made a few changes for this year’s event. We have replaced the 1K Run/Walk with a 1 Mile Run/Walk.  We hope to have more participation in this event and have reduced the registration fee to only $5.00!  Children 3 and under are free. Our 5K course will be reversed so runners will leave the school and turn left. (still hilly but you’ll get the tough part over with earlier than later!)  Westridge teachers/staff who participate in the 5K Run will have a registration fee of $10.00 through race day.  This year the elementary school with the most school age participants (excluding Westridge) will be awarded a "Get Fit and Never Quit" trophy for their school.
